Vincent likes to say that they exist at a crossroads. As a Black queer and trans community organizer, educator, and activist, their identities are an inseparable part of the ways in which they interact with the world. Unfortunately, their search for belonging has been inextricably linked to their connections with these identities, and it has been an uphill battle to find a sense of community along the way. Their talk will be a narrative exploration of these and other identities, shedding a light on an ever-evolving quest to find community in TSLGBTQ+ spaces. Vincent will integrate their anti- racist and queer community organizing experience in order to deconstruct the ways in which marginalized folks are pushed out of these spaces, emphasizing the ways we can build communities of solidarity and support, together. More information about their work can be found at www.vincentmousseau.net.
